Happy Sunday Emerald Hill Eagles! Next week is Random Acts of Kindness Week. We will be celebrating all next week with fun events and activities. On Friday, we will end the week with a Spirit Day: Wear Red or Pink Day. Also to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week and Valentine’s Day, we are planning a special treat for staff on Friday. We will be having Travelin’ Tom’s coffee truck come treat our staff Friday morning. If you would like to help us offer these treats to our staff, Travelin’ Tom’s has a “Send-a-Sip” program where you can sponsor a teacher or teachers. Their “Send-a-Sip” packages start at only $10.00. The collection box is in the main lobby if you have any plastic bags you would like to drop off. Thank you for your support on this project. Happy Sunday Emerald Hill Eagles! Our 100th day of school is Tuesday, January 28th. On Tuesday, we will be doing some fun events. We will also have a spirit day: Dress Like You Are 100! We look forward to seeing our students dressed up on this fun day and celebrating being 100 days smarter! Emerald Hill is selling Valentine’s Day Candy Grams. Candy Grams are $1 a piece. Fliers with more information were sent home on Friday. If you are interested in participating, all money and tags are due by February 10th. Make sure to get your orders in if you are interested in participating. Additionally, we are excited to announce that we are offering special Valentine’s Day treat buckets for parents/guardians to purchase for their students. Buckets are $12 a piece. More information will be sent home from your child’s teacher in their weekly communication. Quantities are limited so be sure to get your orders in soon if you are interested in purchasing a bucket for your child(ren). Unfortunately, we are seeing an increase in respiratory and gastrointestinal viruses. If your child has a fever or gastrointestinal concerns, keep them home until they are fever or vomit free for 24 hours. Please take a moment to review fire safety with your children. For planning purposes, on days that we have a 2-hour delay, breakfast will not be served on those days. Please help your children plan accordingly on those days. Support CCPS students by rounding up at the register at the Culpeper Martin’s Food Store now through March 31, 2025.
