Happy Sunday Emerald Hill Eagles! This is Dr. Gelbert
We have a lot of fun happening at Emerald Hill this coming week! On Thursday, September 18th, we will host our Back to School Night from 5-6pm. Feel free to stop by anytime between 5-6pm. Each grade level will have a table set up around the school and we will have many local businesses and organizations set up in the front hallway. We hope you can join us for this fun-filled event!
Additionally, at Back to School Night, Kona Ice will be outside in the front circle selling shaved ice for any family that would like a treat. Kona Ice generously donates 25% of their proceeds back to Emerald Hill when they attend our events, thank you Kona Ice!
Then, Friday, September 19th, is our Fun Run! We are excited for the Fun Run and I know it is something our students’ look forward to every year. Parents are welcome to come cheer on their children from the viewing stations that will be set up. A flier with the times each grade level will be running is attached in the robo email.
Again, thank you to all of our families that have either donated or found sponsors for the fundraiser. We have the goal of raising $50,000! We have already raised over $20,000. Use the link below to donate and thank you in advance for supporting our amazing PTO!

Happy Sunday Emerald Hill Eagles!
On Wednesday, September 10th, our SCA is hosting their first Spirit Day of the year: Cozy Day. Students are invited to wear pajamas and bring a cozy item (stuffed animal, pillow, or blanket) to school on Wednesday.
On Friday, September 12th, Emerald Hill will host our annual CCHS tailgate. The tailgate will be from 6-7pm and the Blue Devils will reserve a spot on the inside of the track for us to set up! The game starts at 7pm. CCHS has agreed to let our students run onto the field after the players at the beginning of the game again this year! This is such a fun experience for our students and I’m really looking forward to it again this year! Also, every student that attends will receive a free sports-related book and a free candy bar from the concession stand. Tickets for the game are $8 at the gate. We hope to see you and your families there!

Our 3rd graders have been exploring the scientific method through hands-on experiments. In Mrs. Burgh’s class, that meant mixing up color-changing lemonade 🍋🌈 and creating some super stretchy slime! 🧪
Projects like these spark curiosity, teamwork, and a love of discovery—exactly what science is all about at Emerald Hill. 💚🤍

Happy Sunday Emerald Hill Eagles!
We had a great first week of school! We are super excited to have the students back in the classroom and we’ve been practicing what it looks like to SOAR in school.
SOAR stands for: Show Respect to Others, Obey All Rules, Always do your Best, and Be Responsible. Please take some time to talk to your child(ren) about how to SOAR in the classroom and ask them about how they can earn SOAR bucks to use at our school store.
This week we will be having our first fire drill of the school year. Fire drills are an essential part of our safety protocols which help ensure that students and staff are well prepared in case of an emergency. Teachers will discuss fire drill procedures with their class and we will practice how to safely exit the building. Please remind your children of the importance of safety drills and reassure them that drills are one aspect to keeping them safe at school.

🚍 SOAR-ing on the Bus! 🚌
Here at Emerald Hill, we teach our students to SOAR:
Show Respect to Others
Obey All Rules
Always do your Best
Be Responsible
During the first days of school, our teachers show students what SOARing looks like in different areas around the school. Today, Mrs. Lane, with help from Mr. Jason, taught students how to SOAR while riding the bus—making sure everyone knows how to be safe, respectful, and ready to learn before and after each trip.
Ask your child about the ways they can SOAR on the bus and how they can earn SOAR Bucks to spend at our school store!
