Attention, Emerald Hill families! We have several pairs of prescription glasses that have been turned in to our lost and found. If any of these glasses belong to your student, please call and let us know so we can return them!

Good morning, Emerald Hill families! Tomorrow is an SCA Spirit Day, Giving Day! Rather than asking you to dress your child up, we are asking you to help us make the holidays special for our neighbors in need. The Culpeper Christmas Basket needs your donations more than ever! Currently our school has brought in 1320 donations which is quite a ways off from our goal of 5000. Please help us bring that total up by sending in non-perishable food items or writing a check payable to CCCBP to help support this amazing program. Every item or dollar donated will go towards a drawing that will give your child's class a chance to win a treat. After the final collection on Monday, the classes from each grade level who brought in the most donations overall will earn an ice cream party! There are still two more days to donate! The Christmas Basket folks will be here bright and early on Tuesday with their trucks to collect everything you've sent in. Let's rally and help fill those trucks all the way up!

Happy Giving Tuesday, Emerald Hill families! So far, the Christmas Basket food drive has collected over one thousand items for our neighbors in need. Last year, our school brought in over six thousand items! I know that our community has the giving spirit to make it happen again. There are still 4 more days to bring in donations! Also, the EHE SCA has chosen Giving Day as the December spirit day. Rather than dressing up, we are asking students to bring their gifting spirit this Friday. You can participate by bringing in extra items for the food drive, drawing a picture for a staff member, or writing a nice note for someone special. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Happy Sunday Emerald Hill Eagles! The Emerald Hill SCA is again sponsoring the Culpeper County Christmas Basket food drive. We are collecting non-perishable food items as well as checks made out to CCCBP. Every item donated will count as one entry in a weekly class prize drawing. If you are able to send in non-perishable items, please do not send in anything with glass. Thank you for helping us make the holidays special for all of our neighbors in need! We will be collecting items until Monday, December 9th. Our SCA has voted on their next spirit day for Tuesday, November 26th: Bright vs. Dark Day. Students can wear either dark colored clothes or bright colored days to support the spirit day. Just a reminder, there is no school for students November 27th-29th for the Thanksgiving holiday. A Huge Thank You to the Culpeper County High School Football Team! We want to give a big shoutout to our amazing high school football team for taking the time to greet our young students and open car doors for our students this season on home football game days. Your commitment to being role models both on and off the field is truly appreciated. You’ve shown what it means to be part of a community, and we’re so grateful for the impact you’ve made. Thank you for your time, your enthusiasm, and for setting such a great example for our kids!

Happy Veterans Day, Emerald Hill families! This morning, Emerald Hill students and staff held our annual Veterans Day Breakfast to honor the men and women in our school community who have served in the armed forces. As part of the celebration, the Emerald Hill Singers, led by our music teacher, Mr. Grimes, performed beautifully. As always, our own Deputy White led the National Anthem. We look forward to welcoming all Veterans that have already responded letting us know they will be attending. We will be having picture retake day on November 12th.
