It's a great day to be a stallion! From a warm, but snowy welcome from our very own elf (and the Grinch) to Christmas parties, and cozying up with our teachers and friends! There's nothing quite like holidays at Yowell! We hope all of our amazing families and staff members have a wonderful winter break!

Santa and the Grinch were in cahoots today! They tricked our students into thinking there was a fire drill and low and behold they came around the corner on a firetruck and a motorcycle! A great time was had by all!

Mrs. Thornhill read "Moosletoe" by Margie Palatini to her class this week. Then her students were tasked with writing Moose's "To-Do" list and decorating Moose's mustache. What a fun and educational way to spend some time before our holiday break!

Don't forget about tomorrow's spirit day, stallions! Red vs Green! Which color do you think will win?

Mrs. Zajkowski’s class practiced the measures of center during math class yesterday! They incorporated movements to create a mean, median, mode, and range boot camp. The kids were up and moving the whole lesson.

Third grade students practiced writing out some four beat rhythms during music class with Mrs. Pratt! When they finished, they showed off their creativity by drawing pictures using musical notes and symbols!

Mrs. Wheeler's class has enjoyed making their classroom festive and cozy for the holiday season! What a fun place to learn!

Don't forget to join in on the SCA Spirit Day fun this Friday! Are you team RED? Or are you team GREEN? We can't wait to see which color wins!

Mrs. Korona’s 5th grade students created a collaborative insulation art piece inspired by Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. Each student made their own polka dot pumpkin sculpture using recycled bags, tape and plaster.

Mrs. Zajkowski’s class has been learning about force and motion. Today, the students used marbles and paper towel rolls to experience collision and the transfer of force and energy.
