On Tuesday, February 14th, our SCA will be hosting a Spirit Day: Red, White or Pink Day. Students can participate in the spirit day by wearing red, white, or pink to school on Tuesday, February 14th for Valentine’s Day.
This coming week is also Random Acts of Kindness Week. Feel free to help us celebrate the week by spreading random acts of kindness around our community.
Quarter 3 interims will be sent home on Friday, February 17th.
Looking ahead, students do not have school on Monday, February 20th. We will be hosting parent/teacher conferences that day from 11am-6pm. If you are interested in setting up a conference with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them to schedule a conference.

Today, Emerald Hill Elementary School and the Culpeper County Sheriff's Office made a suprise presentation to 1st grade student Andrey White for his courage and bravery. Last month, his father had a seizure. Andrey rolled his father on his side and called 911. He stayed with his father until medics arrived. Medics shared that based on his actions, Andrey saved his father's life.
The spring season of Girls on the Run begins next week! Please see the attached flyers for details about how you can sign up for this great after school program.

Mrs. Moon's 3rd graders collaborated in groups to create ecosystem dioramas this week.
Mrs. Burgh's reading class celebrated being published authors of their book "The Magical Adventures of Humphrey", inspired by the series by Betty G. Birney. Congrats Eagles!
Ms. Thomas and her class kicked off Black History Month by decorating their door with trivia questions and learning about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad.
Mrs. Burgh's 3rd grade reading class celebrated finishing their novel study of the book "Pie" by having a pie party!

Friday, January 20th, is our 100th day of school. We will be doing some fun events that day. We will also be having a spirit day, Dress Like You Are 100! We look forward to seeing our students dressed up on this fun day and celebrating being 100 days smarter!

Culpeper County Public Schools is excited to partner with Giant company to support students facing food insecurity. January 1st through February 28th, everyone who shops at Giant or Martin’s will be asked to “Round Up at The Register” and donate the round-up amount of the bill to support feeding school kids. Thank you for your help in supporting our students and families in need.

The lunch choices for Tuesday and Wednesday this week have been swapped. The EH Cafe will now serve tacos on Tuesday and pork bbq on Wednesday.

Emerald Hill students joined Mrs. ter Weele to sing carols at The Arbors this evening!
Due to the winter weather advisory, CCPS will open 2 hours late on Thursday, December 15, 2022. Twelve month employees report two hours late, essential personnel report on time.
We will monitor weather and road conditions and revise our inclement weather status if necessary. Any status change will be made no later than 7 a.m.
Attention Emerald Hill families. The EHE Cafe has made a change in the lunch menu for this week. The lunch choices for Thursday and Friday have been swapped. They will serve fish melt on Thursday and roasted chicken on Friday. Thank you!
